How a village in the French Pyrenees became a refuge for End Time believers. Bugarach was a quiet village in southern France. Until the media reported that it was the only place to survive the end of the world announced by the Mayan calendar in 2012 (21.12.2012). Thereupon the first strange visitors appear and the villagers fear to be overrun by esoterics and spinners. The mayor tries to keep the situation under control, but the media hype that he himself has triggered is taking its course. The film follows very different people in their preparations for Judgment Day.
